Since commencing operations in July 2012, BPCL has established a modern recycling facility capable of producing approximately 10,500 metric tons of recycled PET resin annually, utilizing used PET bottles as its primary raw material. By producing PET resin locally, the company contributes to reducing Bangladesh’s reliance on imported PET resin and supports the growth of the local packaging and manufacturing industries.

BPCL plays a significant role in environmental sustainability by diverting large volumes of plastic waste from landfills, rivers, and drains while significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions through recycling activities. Its operations also support a growing circular economy by giving discarded plastic materials a new life in the manufacturing value chain.
